Hi, I have a LCD tv I'm trying to hook up to our apartments built in prewired surround sound speakers. There are two audio outlets in the wall , each consisting of one red and one black place to insert what would seem to be speaker wire or audio plugs. What is the name of the necessary cable/wire/plug I need?

We are finishing our basement and the speaker wires have already been put in place for the rear speakers, but not the front speakers. I have been told the length of the speaker wires should all be the same so that the sound arrives at the speakers at the same time. Is this true? If so, i sure hope the contractors measured how much was used on the other side. Thanks for the help in advance.

I have an Insignia 6.1 Channel receiver with 5 RCA 80 watt speakers and 1 RCA 80-100 Watt Subwoofer. I want to know how i can set these up for the best possible bass. I have messed around with the settings a little bit and i know i can change all of the speakers from a -10 to a +10 I am wondering how i should set these for the best bass. I have tried to turn all of the speakers down but the subwoofer, but the sound that comes through the speakers is distorted. Any help would be appreciated =)
